why?

Yep...relax...blue jeans are fine. We also drink coffee...we think you'll fit right in.

We were all visitors at one time so we understand how scary it can be to check out something new. To make it easier, here's what you can expect. If you are still nervous after reading this, contact us at 402.393.9077 and we'll have someone meet you and show you around.

When you come into the auditorium, you'll be greeted and given a copy of the announcements and a Welcome Packet, with information about who we are, what we believe, what small groups we offer, plus a free CD of Vineyard worship music.

We have nursery and pre-school classes available for children under 4, and Children's Church for those 4 and up. If you do have children with you, they can either sit with you or join the other children. We dismiss the children after the worship time.

Feel free to sit anywhere. The belief that God looks more favorably upon those who sit in the front row during church is not supported by the Bible. Many feel more comfortable sitting in the back, or even on the floor. Go for it. Most morning services last about 80-90 minutes. If you need to leave during the service, nobody will complain if you slip out discreetly.

Service begins at 9:30am and 11:15am with about 30 minutes of worship featuring contemporary style music and a worship band. Feel free to sit, stand, clap, raise your hands, or kneel. Please worship in whatever way you feel most comfortable.

After worship, many slip out to fill their coffee cups as announcements are made about what's happening in our community. We will also pass a collection basket. This is for people who call Vineyard their church home. You are not expected to contribute so don’t feel embarrassed passing the basket without putting anything in it. Some church members contribute by mail, so you won’t be the only one just passing it on.

It’s now time for the sermon which lasts about 30-45 minutes. After the sermon, if you have any needs, we would like to pray for and with you. If you feel comfortable please feel free to go to the front after the sermon concludes for prayer. We may not know you well, but God does, and He is in the business of blessing His children (that’s you!).

Sunday, May 18th 6:30-8:00pm
